JAIIB Exam 2025: Key Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus & Application Guide​

The Junior Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (JAIIB) is a flagship certification offered by the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF). Designed for banking professionals, it aims to enhance their knowledge and skills in banking and financial services. The exam is conducted twice a year, typically in May and November, and is open to IIBF members.​

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the JAIIB exam, candidates must:

Membership: Be an ordinary member of IIBF.

Educational Qualification: Have passed the 12th standard examination or its equivalent.

Special Cases: Clerical or supervisory staff of banks may be permitted to appear for the exam on the recommendation of their bank manager, even if they haven't passed the 12th standard.

Subordinate Staff: Members of IIBF who are subordinate staff and have passed the 12th standard are also eligible.

Passing Criteria:

Minimum 50 marks out of 100 in each subject.

Alternatively, a candidate securing at least 45 marks in each subject with an aggregate of 50% marks in all subjects in a single attempt will also be considered as having passed. ​
