The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions. It also serves as a qualifying exam for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).​

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have passed the Class 12 examination in 2023 or 2024, or be appearing in 2025.​

Mandatory Subjects:

B.E./B.Tech: Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject.

B.Arch: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

B.Planning: Mathematics.​

Age Limit:

There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main 2025.​

Percentage Criteria:

Candidates must have secured at least 75% marks in the Class 12 examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in their respective boards. For SC/ST candidates, the qualifying marks are 65%.​
