The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the sole entrance exam in India for undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, and other allied courses in both government and private institutions. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
NEET is a national-level examination that is mandatory for admission to all medical colleges across India, including AIIMS and JIPMER.
Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2025

Educational Qualification:
Must have passed or appeared in Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
A minimum aggregate of 50% marks for General, 40% for SC/ST/OBC, and 45% for PwD candidates in PCB subjects.
Age Limit:
Minimum age: 17 years as on 31st December 2025.
No upper age limit as per the latest guidelines.
Nationality:
Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply.
