The Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) is a state-level eligibility test conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (BSER). It serves as a qualifying examination for candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary (Classes 1–5) and upper primary (Classes 6–8) schools across Rajasthan. Qualifying REET is mandatory for applying to teaching positions in government schools within the state.​

Eligibility Criteria for REET 2025

Level 1 (Classes 1–5)

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.​

Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with NCTE regulations.​

Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).​

Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.​

Level 2 (Classes 6–8)

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.​

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).​

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with NCTE regulations.​

Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).​

Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.​

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year B.Ed (Special Education).​

There is no upper age limit for appearing in the REET exam.
